HI, I’M ADDI.
I’ve been writing professionally for over 10 years, but I first became passionate about writing as soon as I was able to read on my own. I thought about the books I wanted to read and then I wrote them so that I could! In third grade I won first place in a Texas statewide writing competition. That’s when I discovered that not only did I enjoy writing, I was good at it. I haven’t stopped since.
As I got older, I experimented outside of short stories into novels and poems, eventually transitioning to journalism. But before I began my formal career, I met and married my best friend who was a loadmaster instructor on C-5s out at Travis Air Force Base. Over the years, I found new and creative ways to balance the demands of career and military life.
I interned at a publishing company in Berkley, California and for a magazine in East Texas where I wrote the cover story only one month into my internship. In 2017, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas’ award-winning School of Journalism and Strategic Media with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, editorial concentration.
After I graduated, I worked as the publisher and editor-in-chief of Northwest Arkansas Kid’s Directory and spent some time as an advertorial writer at the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette before I landed a job out in Savannah, Georgia as the managing editor for South Magazine. As managing editor, I organized a team of writers and photographers to put together all the magazine articles for each issue. After taking on both print and digital assets for South Magazine, I decided to learn more about the marketing side of writing and transitioned into copywriting.
I worked at an agency based in Savannah, but wrote for clients across the United States in all categories of business from military lawyers to dentists and everything in between. After freelancing with the agency for several years, I decided to work full time in an office, accepting the job as copywriter II for First Command Financial Services in Fort Worth, Texas. I spent five years at First Command and was promoted to senior copywriter during that time. I worked on global campaigns targeting active-duty military members, reservists, first responders, veterans and military families.
I continued to freelance while working full time, taking on clients like Cavender’s, a major western retailer, where I wrote product copy and blog posts for their ecommerce team. I now work as a full time freelance copywriter where I help new and established brands market their products and services to military audiences.

After you reach out, we’ll schedule a meeting so I can get to know more about your current projects and content needs. During this initial meeting, we’ll go over your goals and how I can help.
Once we discuss deliverables, I’ll provide an estimate on time and price. After the meeting, I’ll sort through the information and return with an updated quote, a creative brief template and a contract. Then, I will get to work on your project.
I’ll check in as needed to go over any new information or questions that might come up. I’ll provide you with a draft which you will send back with feedback and edits. Once I make those changes and send you an updated draft, we’ll do another round of edits together before I deliver the final file. This process is essential to making sure all parties are happy with the content before moving forward.
I partner with an editor for each project, which is included in your quote. If you have an in-house editor, I will take the editing fee out and happily work with him or her. I believe truly good copy always has more than one set of eyes on it.
If you are working with me on an ongoing basis, we will have recurring meetings to touch base on content goals, updates, data and ROI.

My pricing is determined by several factors, including the number of deliverables, project scope, volume of copy, and level of research required. If you provide research in advance or have an in-house editor to review the copy, these elements could impact the final cost. I offer customized pricing to ensure you get the best value for your specific needs.
I also offer a flat-rate fee for your project, eliminating hourly charges. This approach benefits both of us—no worrying about extra costs for you, and I commit the necessary time to meet our agreed-upon deadline. You get focused work without the ticking clock.
The only way to know for sure if we are a good fit is to schedule a planning meeting where I can learn more about your needs and provide a quote.

Now that we know more about how search engines, particularly Google, treats AI-generated copy, writers can utilize AI technology without fear of search engine penalization. I believe rejecting new technology can hinder your business growth and by learning about the assets of different programs or tools such as AI, your content can remain relevant and competitive.
That being said, I will never generate AI content to be used “as is” for your projects. Instead, I utilize AI technology for assistance in research, editing and idea generation. I make sure that my content is always completely personalized to your specific needs.
I consider the audience first, using my experience in the military community and your company’s unique brand voice to make authentic connections with your clients, customers and prospects. Human experience is a vital component in copywriting, one that can not be mimicked using Artificial Intelligence.

Search engines respond best to original, helpful information, covering the topic thoroughly with clear, compelling language. In order to rank high on Google or another search engine, the reader must be the first consideration, not the machine. I always write for the reader. However, keywords and strategic topics play a large role in ranking too. I have worked with in-house and agency SEO experts at multiple companies. If you have access to an SEO team, I will use their insight and research to guide the web content. If not available, I will still implement SEO practices to give the content its best chance at ranking.
